I enjoyed this exhibition which claims to show the influence of surrealism on 'more than fifty' artists with vaginas. (Sure, why not?) Some of the artists included are very famous. Some of the art is really cool. Take this one for example:
It's called Michaelerplatz 3 by Shannon Bool. It looks like a photograph of a mannequin looking in a mirror, so probably it is open to being understood as a postmodern comment on image-making. On further examination it is actually a tapestry so it goes all weird when you get up close. Is it surreal? Maybe. Is it vaginal? Who cares, it's neat.
